BACKPACKER TOUR

A chain of Temples and Pagodas located far away from habitants, Perfume pagoda including more than twenty pagodas that is thought as the center of Buddhism in the Northern. Come to the Pagoda, you will find the real Peace of Nature and the Peace of Mind. The main pagoda, Perfume Pagoda, was placed inside a huge, mysterious cave which has earned the name as "The first cave under the Southern sky".  Perfume Pagoda is regarded as Vietnam’s Buddhist Center, located 60km from Hanoi, all access roads sweep through impressive limestone formations and lush rice fields. From the road, Tourists must take a rustic boat up the Yen stream to the Pagoda, a peaceful way to travel in anybody’s book, provided the boat owner is not trying to scam you for every penny you have.

 From the boat, you must then walk 3km up an extremely steep hill to the grotto’s entrance, a demanding task for the unfit and unwell. The Huong Tich grotto, described by Lord Trinh Sam as the “Cradle of Buddhist in Vietnam” has attracted both young and old for around 3000 years, the biggest Festival in ASEAN countries is take place here every year from January to March. 

If you are seeking to escape from the noisy and worry for the peace and quiet in you mind, then and overnight stay at Perfume Pagoda may be just the ticket.

     

Program

AM:  Dep. 7am. 2 hours road trip (65 km from Hanoi). 1,5 hours rowing boat on Yen stream to Thien Tru harbor.  2 hours treking up to the Main cave pagoda-Huong Tich. One hour down. Visit Thien Tru pagoda. Lunch.

PM:  Boat trip back to Ben Duc (45 minutes) and back to Hanoi. Arr. at 6pm.    

Including: Transport,  Entrance fee, Boat trip and Tour-guide.

Price: 10 USD/pax (Economy)

18 USD/pax (for small group 3 - 8 pax)

Note:  

- During the pilgrimage time (after TeT holiday ) there are usually many Vietnamese prayers come to Perfume Pagoda. Thus the services are inconvenience, so please book your trip in advance.

- When you are inside any temple or pagoda in Vietnam, respectful wear and actions may show you to be polite and well-educated.

- Small tip for your boat-sailor will be highly appreciated.

- Ask the Receptionist for the details of staying overnight in Perfume Pagoda.
