Program
DAY 1:
Hanoi - Mai Chau
(132km). Visit Muong minority in Hoa Binh.
Then drive to Mai Chau, small walk around the Lac village, dinner, over
night in Thai stilt-house.
Day 2:
Mai Chau - Son La
(180km). Breakfast.
Walk around some villages, take photos on
the way drive to Son La. Lunch on the way. Dinner and over night in Son La
hotel.
Day 3:
Son La – Dien
Bien Phu.
(150km).
Leave Son La to Dien Bien Phu. Lunch
in Dien Bien Phu. Visit Dien Bien Phu battle field, headquarter of general
Christian de Caterris, old French tanks and museum of Dien Bien Phu. Dinner
and
over night in Dien Bien Phu hotel.
Day 4:
Dien Bien Phu – Lai Chau.
(160km). Drive to Lai Chau. Lunch. On the
way visit some villages, take pictures. Dinner and over night in Lai Chau
hotel.
Day 5:
Lai Chau – Sa Pa
(170km). Head to Sa Pa. Lunch. Visit Ham
Rong mountain. Trek to minority villages. Over night in Sa Pa hotel.
Day 6:
Sa Pa – Hanoi
(370km) stop some where you like on the way back. Arrive Hanoi
about 5pm.
